The Jardin des Plantes, open to the public since 1640, is spread out over 26 hectares in the heart of downtown Paris. The city's Botanical Gardens, formerly the Royal medicinal herb garden, is unlike any other garden in the country… As you wander the aisles, admire the majestic plane trees, the Alpine garden, the rose, iris and hardy plant gardens, the labyrinth, and the recently renovated glasshouses.

This exceptional park often hosts expos whether at the actual botanical gardens, The Menagery or the various galleries (each dedicated to a particular field, namely geology, anatomy, palaeontology and evolution).
